Best Mid-range phone in India, Realme X full review

Gadgets Review

Realme X was launched in India on July 15 this year. The best mid-range smartphone in India. This smartphone was launched in India for Rs 16,999. We have spent about 1 month with this smartphone and now we are going to share its review with you. We have reviewed 8GB + 128GB variants of this smartphone, know whether you should invest money in this smartphone?

Design and display:

First thing about the back panel of Realme X, here is a dual tone gradient panel. This panel is glossy, in such a way fingerprints start appearing here without touching the cover. Here is a dual camera setup in the rear, which is placed in the vertical shape. Flash is also present here along with the camera. Phone slick is also easy to carry. Just a few people may have trouble handling one hand.

The power button and SIM tray are placed here in the right panel. There is a tray for only two nano SIMs. That is, you cannot use the memory card in this phone. Apart from the Type-C port in the rest of the bottom panel, port has also been provided for the bottom firing speakers and 3.5mm jack, which is good. Talking about the top panel, a pop-up selfie camera has been given here. There are volume rockers in the left panel here.

Talking about the display, here is a 6.53-inch full-HD + OLED display with Gorilla Glass 5. Here, there will be no notch due to the pop-up selfie camera in the front panel. Bezels are also very less in the bottom. That is, you will be able to enjoy any content in a very fun way. Colors are quite bright, vivid and panchi. They can be used easily in any light. Here fingerprint sensors are also given in the display itself, which is quite fast. The overall look and design is quite impressive.

Software and performance:

First of all talk about performance, here the company has used Snapdragon 710 processor. Which is really a very good processor in this price range. Let us tell you that Snapdragon 670 processor is available in Google’s affordable ‘premium’ smartphone Pixel 3a and Realme X’s closest competitor Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with Snapdragon 675 processor.

With the Snapdragon 710 processor, there will be no lag or shutter or heating problems in app switching or multiple operation. This smartphone works in a very smooth way. This smartphone is also much better for gamers. Here cooling gel technology has been used with Adreno 616 GPU. Along with this, gaming modes like Hyperboost 2.0 and Game Boost 2.0 are also provided in the software. In such a situation, you will not have any complaints about gaming.

Talking about the software, Android 9 Pie based ColorOS 6 has been given in it. Software can be called neither good nor bad here. Generally, all Android custom UIs in this price range are the same, when they are not stock Android. OnePlus works better in terms of custom UI. Although talking about Realme X, here are two things better, that is, you can delete unwanted apps. That is, the complaint of blotware can be removed and like Xiaomi here you will not get many ads.

Its rear has a 48MP primary camera (Sony IMX 586) and a 5MP secondary camera. Sony IMX 586 is available in OnePlus 7 Series to Oppo Reno. Although the performance of the camera obviously cannot be called one. Like this smartphone with the rest of the 48MP camera, this smartphone also has a 1 / 2.0-inch sensor, which uses pixel binning technology. However, if we talk about the performance of the camera in direct language, then there is nothing different from the crowd, but yes it is somewhat better in terms of price.

In day light, the camera is better and in low-light, camera performance is good compared to the old smartphones of Reality. The most typical performance can be seen in portrait mode. Generally, the cameras of this range do not perform well in camera portraits, but its work is amazing. At the same time, chroma boost, HDR and scene recognition also help the camera in a better way. For the 48MP camera you do not get direct access here, for this you will need to go to Settings and turn on 48MP mode. Apart from this, modes like Nightscape, Slow Motion, Expert and Panorama will also be available in the camera app. Its nightscape mode is not much better, but in terms of price is fine. OnePlus 7 Pro also has the same Sony sensor but its nightmode is amazing, although its price is also high. This is to say that the Sony IMX 586 sensor can be optimized a little bit better at this price.

Talking about selfie, here is a 16MP camera (Sony IMX 471) with f / 2.0 aperture and it is also better. Here selfie portrait is also good according to the price. That is, overall the camera is also somewhere good.

Realme X battery is 3765mAh and VOOC 3.0 flash charge is supported here. Due to fast charging, it can be charged up to 0-93% in about an hour. From regular to heavy use, it can be run for about 12 to 14 hours. That is, the battery is also good.

Realme was very successful in making its place in India’s budget and mid-range segment very quickly. The reason was that it directly targeted the budget leader Xiaomi. After a lot of eye-catching, Reality launched a smartphone in which a lot was given in the mid-range segment i.e. Rs 16,999. To some extent, it is competing with Redmi Note 7 Pro, but still it is ahead in many cases. At present, Oppo K3 also comes in the same specifications and the same price range, but the 48MP camera is not available in the rear. Realme X is one of the best smartphones to take for such features as its Snapdragon 710, pop-up selfie camera, 48MP rear camera, premium look, in-display fingerprint sensor, full view display and fast charging support. Only the camera performance can be improved further.
